How much are we obsessed with Mara Hoffman. Please, Universe, let us be dressed nipple-to-toe in her hippie-chic on the beach all summer. For now, the queen of gypset dressing dishes on the details of her mystical life.
IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU MOST EMBODY THE TRAITS OF YOUR ASTROLOGICAL CHART? “I’m quite a typical Aries. I’m a great ‘big idea’ person, and I view myself as a good leader but I need help with the smaller details. I like to say that I can move mountains but have a hard time sitting down and sorting pebbles.” Continue reading “MY MYSTICAL LIFE: MARA HOFFMAN”
It’s like us, in a web series (ish). Billed as “a comedy about two down and out New York gals who go to LA in search of a spiritual awakening,” Be Here Now(ish) follows the fortunes of Sam (played by Alexandra Roxo) and Nina (Natalia Leite), a New York City dating consultant and drug delivery girl respectively, on their journey to meet this guru-shaman Nina’s heard about and transform their lives in the process. A “magic jumper” with active healing properties was only a matter of time, now that fashion is falling in love with spirituality. Forget Jennifer Anniston and her Hamsa anti-evil eye necklace and Sienna Miller and her Daisy London chakra bracelets. When I would look out the bedroom door, no one was there. At the time I was unaware of how “different” these experiences were, and so I never shared them. I thought they were normal.

And tonight, Agape makes its silver screen debut in Sofia Coppola’s glitzy new biopic, The Bling Ring, about the infamous group of Hollywood teens known as the “Hollywood Hills Burglers.” Continue reading “NEED-TO-KNOW: CHURCH OF AGAPE”
Since Venius Adams launched her chic turban line three years ago, they’ve found a natural fan base among…the kundalini yoga community. It’s a marriage made in some kind of spirit-junkie-having-a-bad-hair-day heaven.
