SAGITTARIUS / SAGITTARIUS RISING
Six of Cups

Happy birthday, sweet Sagittarius! This cycle is all about expression for you, letting your thoughts, words, and heart be deeply known at any given moment. This energy could extend in many different directions for you, ranging from a new love to an expansion in teaching or activist work. No matter where this lands in your life, there will be an audience to receive the words you share, as this card is so much about the healing aspects of emotional exchange. Chance vulnerability, Sagittarius, and let your heart’s truth flow.

The world needs it, your heart needs it. It is a gift for everyone when you open up and let yourself be seen. December is the perfect time to do this on a whole new level. Six of Cups has a bit of an interesting reputation, and is often thought of as a card of nostalgia. We can sometimes swim far into the recesses of our old, happy memories in this card, propelled by the heartbreak of the Five of Cups, unable to be present in the here and now. It makes sense in certain cases, and definitely follows a known emotional pattern. But this is not your truth, Sagittarius. Six of Cups is showing up for you this month as a radical heart opener.

Its invitation to you will be to sustain that openness, that trust, that vulnerability, in spite of your past. In spite of the fact that you’ve been hurt, splintered, broken, and repaired many times. It is showing up for you this month as a beautiful nutritive to the heart, infusing you with the desire to express, to share, and to connect with the world around you, dropping your armor completely. There is something wonderful coming your way this month, loves. Stay open and soft; you won’t regret it.

CAPRICORN :: CAPRICORN RISING
Page of Cups

How can you play more this month, Capricorn? A somewhat silly inquiry for the hardest workers in the Zodiac, I know, and yet the invitation to consider the question is here in a very strong way. December is a potently important month for you. You are sewing many energetic seeds during this cycle, planting many intentions for the year ahead. How are you making room for play in 2018? Does it have a place of importance in your life? Sink into these questions deeply, looking at the patterning of your life, and the value placed on work versus play.

Page of Cups is your archetypal teacher for the month ahead, and it will be wise to bow over to this little one, listening deeply to what it has to whisper to you. This card invites us to value and emphasize imagination, magic, play, joy, and intuitive communion as much as we might value our earthly goals and worldly dreams. It is what the Lost Boys are to Peter in the movie, “Hook”: helping you to remember who you are. You are remembering the “Pan” in you this month, Capricorn, the magical essence at the core of your being. This part of you is precious and pure, and can get pushed aside very easily in daily life.

It is incredibly important to make room for play and receiving this month. It is softening you, helping to redefine your relationship to rigor and work. It is helping to work and nourish a different part of your brain. It is helping to shake some of the seriousness out of you. It is helping to get some light in the cracks. Don’t worry about what you will get from Page of Cups this month. Just make room for it, and you’ll have everything.

AQUARIUS :: AQUARIUS RISING
The Moon

Let yourself be cradled by mystery this month, Aquarius. You are moving through The Moon card, a deep medicine in the Tarot, and the best thing to do is to flow with its rhythms. The Moon is a beautiful card, albeit a powerful one for what it asks of us: surrender in the face of what we can’t see. Indeed, this card can feel like deep ocean waves, or like velvety darkness, much like what we find in nature at night. To feel our way in the darkness, we must go slowly, heightening our other senses, letting our inner compass guide our way home. It requires us to keep a clear head and courageous heart as we walk in the darkness, afraid of what might lurk in the shadows.

To see by moonlight requires the perception of the third eye, a deeper vision and direction. This is getting flexed in you this month, loves, inviting you to trust these other senses within you, letting you walk through the world with them guiding your path. The Moon, which is ruled by Pisces, helps us to feel the fear of the unknown, and walk into it with intention and willingness. December will be a powerful month to look at your emotions in a whole new way. When we travel through this card, we must do so on feel and sense alone.

It offers us the opportunity to trust ourselves and our intuition like never before. This is a deep journey of the self for you this month, Aquarius. The psychic treasures of this kind of internal walkabout are amazing, so seek deeply, walk far, and dive into the fullness of the void. There is nothing but light on the other side of the journey, bringing wisdom, awareness, experience, hindsight, and a greater intimacy with yourself to you.

PISCES :: PISCES RISING
Eight of Swords

The moment you desire to be free, Pisces, any locked door in your being will swing open. This is the transformative power of Eight of Swords, as well as the magical potential it will be bringing to your whole sign this month. December is a very powerful transit for you, loves, one in which you can genuinely get “unstuck” from any place in your life that feels limited, including that of your own mind.

In this card, we can often feel that we are trapped and caught, usually in a prison of our own making, although it doesn’t always feel that way. That is the trick of this card: we may feel that an external source got us into this, and that we need a external source to get us out of it. Shattering that illusion is part of the liberation of the card. How we got behind those bars is of little consequence. Eight of Swords invites us to see beyond the mind’s projection, to begin to ask deeper questions of our perceptions. Are we trying to smash down a locked door without checking to see if the window is unlocked? Are we asking for help, clarity or awareness in moments when we don’t feel that we can see clearly? Are we pausing to listen to our inner wisdom?

When this card arises, it is a divine whisper in our ear, offering up the phrase: “ it can be easier if you allow it to be.” How easy can you allow your life to be, loves? How deeply are you willing to trust beyond what your mind is projecting to you? If you are ready to look deeper than what you can see, and what you may feel is imprisoning you, you will already be liberated.

ARIES :: ARIES RISING
The Wheel of Fortune

Change is at your garden gate, sweet Aries. I highly encourage you to put on some tea, and welcome it in. Whenever we pull The Wheel of Fortune, we can be sure that a big life change is at hand. It may not show up today or tomorrow, but it is most definitely on its way. We don’t ever need to fear this card—Wheel of Fortune truly does not bring negative change. It is ruled by Jupiter, after all. Everything that this card wants to give to us, at the core of its essence, is beautiful.

Our job, as human beings, is to stay the hell out of the way so that Source can do its thing. The key to doing so with this card is to stay present in our lives. When we are firmly fixed in the mundanity of this moment, the wheel of life can turn freely because we are staying out of the future. It is truly that simple—at least when this card shows up. The Wheel of Fortune is a wildly spectacular card, one that holds within it so much mystery, medicine and wisdom, and yet when it shows up in a reading, it can often feel like nothing is happening.

It is made manifest by our willingness to take responsibility for the present moment, which is the crux of this card’s invitation to you this month, Aries. Look around you, loves. Look at all that you have control over, and all you don’t. Don’t worry about where you are going, or where these moments are taking you. If you are honoring this moment, working through everything that is arising — the pretty and the ugly — you will be ready when the Wheel of Fortune fully lands in your life. You are changing, Aries. Welcome it.

TAURUS :: TAURUS RISING
Temperance

Temperance is such an incredible and mysterious card. In some ways, it’s almost tough to break it down for a monthly forecast — it rarely, if ever, unfolds within a month’s time. Ruled by Sagittarius, it represents the sacred rebirth after the Death card, and the end of the second line of the Major Arcana in the Tarot. Temperance is highly powerful, potent, magical and life changing, but again, it is really hard to zero in on in a thirty day period. What I will tell you, sweet Taurus, is that when the presence of Temperance touches a reading, it does so for many months, if not a full year. It is a blessing, a sweet omen, and a signal that you are in some for cellular level shifts.

Know that you might not feel this energy in your everyday life in December, but you can touch into it anytime you like—the more you do so, the better it will be for you. Temperance is a reordering of the body, mind and soul. It is a deep shift of our energetic makeup. Expect to get worked on this month, angelically speaking. Trust it, and let yourself explore whatever arises with curiosity. This card also, like Wheel of Fortune, heralds a massive, massive life change—always big and beautiful. The only way that this change can take place, however, is if we are willing to surrender it to Source.

Temperance shows us that the spectacular and impossible can unfold, if we are inviting in support and help. It is the shift from ego perception to soul possibilities. This doesn’t happen overnight—and it might not even happen in a month — but it does happen with time, persistence and the willingness to try a new way of working with the world around you. Surrender to the magic, and some amazing things will begin to take root in your life.

GEMINI :: GEMINI RISING
Five of Wands

I’m gonna say this bluntly (and with love), Gemini: watch your tongue this month. It’s not a warning, but a plea for those closest to you, a plea for those who rely on you. Five of Wands is a card that teaches us to have patience with big feelings. Whatever the holidays might bring out in you, be willing to take a breath and pause if tough moments arise. You may not be able to take back what you say in anger or frustration this month, so this is very important.

Mercury, your ruling planet, can be the most epically beautiful energy, gifting you the ability to be quick and ingenious with your words and ideas. It can also imbue you with the sharpest mouth in the Zodiac, which you largely have under control in your day to day. That may get tested this month in the fiery Five of Wands, so be willing to really lean into your practices, and give yourself (and your loved ones) the gift of fearless honesty and compassion in your communication. Rather than yelling, it would be better to take a breath and state that you’d like to yell, but are working on not doing so.

This differentiation is how we can elevate Five of Wands from a contractive energy to one of wisdom. It is also how you can work with the upcoming Mercury Retrograde in a way that brings about grace. Take responsibility for your inner realm, and be willing to communicate about it to the people around you. This is your medicine for the month ahead. Breathe through any big impulses, use your words kindly and thoughtfully, and you will move into the new year with a ton of gratitude and peace.

CANCER :: CANCER RISING
The Empress

You are right at home with the energy of The Empress this month, sweet Cancer. The Empress represents the Sacred Mother. Ruled by Venus, this card imbues us with a flush of sensuality, and an invitation to reconnect with nature and our loving, sexual centers. It is definitely a beautiful energy to end a year in, and an equally beautiful one to guide you into a new cycle. The presence of The Empress is heralding a new flow for you, Cancer. It is a true shift to a more receptive way of moving through your life—a way that is second nature to you as a water sign, but perhaps not one that you regularly employ.

This is a rest and review time. It is a time to sleep a little later, to become a little quieter, to make things around you a little more beautiful. Orgasms, beautiful food, and long walks are all highly encouraged for the month ahead. If any feelings of discomfort arise around this level of lushness with your life, that is probably where The Empress is doing the most work for you. The greater the discomfort, the greater the potential for growth and evolution will be. We just need to say yes to the invitation.

Feel into the medicine of The Empress this month, Cancer—potential triggers and all. The Empress, for all her beauty, can bring up a lot of funky stuff. If being receptive makes you feel selfish, that’s where you will do some deep work this month. This work is important, not just for the month ahead, but for your year ahead. As you expand in 2018, there will be a need to become more comfortable with receptivity. Trust that and let it take you deeper.

LEO :: LEO RISING
Starseed, Rx

Sweet Leo, if one were to take a flying, courageous leap off of a cliff, would it be wise to attempt to spin around in midair and try to cling into the edge? The head might be saying yes, but your courageous heart most definitely says no. The intersection of the scared brain and fearless heart is where you will find yourself doing some deep work in December, all energized by the medicine of Starseed, or The Fool.

When we commit to a leap of faith, or a big decision, it is extremely important to watch any areas where we might be tempted to twist ourselves around out of fear or regret. It sends some very mixed messages, energetically speaking, which only creates more fluff and confusion for us as we expand in and on our path. Anytime that we take a leap of faith that is blessed by The Fool, it is larger than the decision itself. It is a commitment to ourselves, to our soul paths, to beginning a new cycle in our lives. It is totally fine to experience doubt and fear—it is when those feelings begin to bleed over into our words and actions that it becomes important to recenter, letting go of the edge of the cliff.

Trust yourself and your choices, sweet ones. Embrace the freefall. The Fool is here to support and gently remind you that you made the right choice, or will make the right choice, if that big leap is forthcoming for you. The reversal speaks to the fear that may be creating some stagnation at the top of the cliff. This is easily clarified by looking deeply at the root of whatever fear we are experiencing, rather than letting it stop us from moving forward. Trust yourself and your choices, you are exactly where you’re meant to be.

VIRGO :: VIRGO RISING
The World

You are in The World this month, sweet Virgo, and it is glorious. This has been a year filled with change, new opportunities, and massive life shifts for you, much of which is going to give way to new blessings and expansions in 2018. It may not have felt like it, but in many ways you have gotten much of what you’ve wished for this year, which I encourage you to honor and celebrate. What you didn’t receive is well on it’s way to you, all in good time. Now, you get to ride 2017 out on the amazing wave of this card, ushered into 2018 on a whole new level. You couldn’t align the timing more perfectly.

The World card is the last card of the Major Arcana. It is ruled by Saturn, and represents the joyful and bittersweet end to an intense cycle, usually one of extreme lessons, and very hard work. When we reach The World, it means that we have done everything we said that we would do in that particular karmic phase. It also means that we are ready to move forward into something completely different, new and fresh, all borne from what we learned in the past year. When we receive The World card, whatever we are leaving behind is something we will never, ever revisit again. Ever. We are totally finished learning about whatever we moved through.

This can be both amazing and sad, as we grieve what we are leaving behind, even while we may walk forward with excitement. Take a moment and reflect, sweet Virgo: what old patterns have you had to repeat this past year? Whatever it was, you never have to touch on it again in quite the same way. There are new mountains to climb, and a whole new Fool’s Journey to move through. Bless what is leaving, and take the first step forward.

LIBRA :: LIBRA RISING
King of Swords

Speak your truth, loves! You have so much to say, so share it openly, brazenly and freely. The world needs it, whether you are getting that direct feedback or not. King of Swords is a divine communicator, a leader who has a truth to speak that brings a deep transformation and change for everyone that their words touch. It is not always easy to speak the truth that King of Swords holds; it is a deep task, given to those who can deeply see injustice, imbalance or areas that need to be recentered.

Where you deliver these words this month remains to be seen, loves. Just keep an open heart. You might offer them to your clients, or the community that you work or live in; your sacred truth might be directed at your ex or current partner, it might be offered to your children, or it might need to be heard by your parent, or family or origin. No matter what, trust the words that are burning within your heart. December is the time to let them be channeled through the voice and throat, letting them touch everyone who is meant to hear them. Let this be a sign for you. If you’ve had a piece of writing within you, write it.

If you have a podcast, or want to start one, this would be a golden moment. You have the potential to really charge ahead into your new year, more confident and clear than ever before. This card is so powerful, in fact, it ripples out to our casual communication. Watch what you say this month. Let it be truthful and heart centered, even if it’s blunt. The world needs your word now and always, Libra. The timing is exactly right, so bring it forward.

SCORPIO :: SCORPIO RISING
King of Pentacles

Plant your two feet on the ground beneath you, Scorpio. Trust that you are supported. You are exactly where you are meant to be, and your life is unfolding at exactly the right pace and timing. It’s perfect, and you are doing precisely what you should be doing. The other shoe isn’t going to drop—in fact, there’s never been another shoe. Everything in your life is serving some purpose in this moment, teaching you something powerful, even if it isn’t immediately clear to you. Don’t stress about whether you can sustain your current path, or whether you can trust your current path. Don’t stress about what will be.

Any moment that you place your profoundly powerful focus on the future, you’ve left the present. This moment is all there is; there is truly nothing we can place our trust in more than the here and now. King of Pentacles is very advanced medicine, and it is here to prove and support the above statements for you this month. I’ve always felt that King of Pentacles was, in a strange way, the last card in the deck. It brings a real master’s energy when it shows up in any reading.

For you, Scorpio, it’s bringing two big invitations: 1) to make room for greater abundance in your life going forward, and 2) to trust the path that you are walking at this moment in your life. King of Pentacles knows his dharma. He understands why he incarnated here, and he knows he is inherently worthy. Receiving this card in a reading means that he is working this magic in your life, helping you to understand why you are here, that you are worthy, too. This work is going to carry you into 2018 with so many expansions and gifts—let it in, starting with the present moment.

SCORPIO :: SCORPIO RISING
Knight of Crystals, Reversed

Trust the timing of your life, sweet Scorpio. This is the best birthday gift you could give to yourself. The pace at which you are moving and evolving is perfect, exactly correct for where you are in this moment. Trust it, with absolutely no judgements, no comparisons, no explanations and no apologies. If you are feeling uncomfortable with the way that things are flowing for you, it’s time to look at what is underneath the present moment.

What are your expectations of your life, versus the reality? What does it mean to embody the belief that you are taking care of more spectacularly than you could ever imagine? Are you used to pushing things into fruition, hustling through your days? What if life could be easier than you believed it could be? These are all important inquiries to drop into during the month of November. Your whole sign has been going through a deep and powerful upgrade. There is no more room for lack of belief in yourself, no more room for pushing against the flow of your soul. Knight of Pentacles is here to help shift any old, outdated beliefs around trusting the timing of your life—the reversal, even more so. Any Knight in the Tarot represents movement and action.

Each Knight moves at a different pace, brings a different kind of medicine for our highest growth. Knight of Pentacles is slow, steady, aiming at the target and not letting go of the arrow until everything is fully lined up. When we receive this card reversed, we are fighting against the timing, whether overtly or subtly. If you want things to start moving, start trusting, and hang out in this moment. If you can surrender to what is, practicing trust and willingness, life will open up so much more for you.

SAGITTARIUS :: SAGITTARIUS RISING
Page of Crystals, Reversed

November is a time to slow down a little, Sagittarius. You might not want to, but that’s perfectly fine—there’s just some more beautiful work to do around surrendering. Page of Pentacles reversed can often arise when we feel like we don’t know what the hell we are doing, or what direction we are pointed in our lives. It is a feeling, not necessarily a fact, so we have to take the time to inquire around that with this reversed Page.

This card can arise when we are running around without taking the time to drop in and become still—or, it may arise during very important time of transition, where those rudderless feelings are totally appropriate. Either way, slowing down, breathing, and taking space are all deeply nourishing acts of love this month. There is much to learn, understand and see, we just need to carve out a little time to sink into those deeper questions. If you can give yourself that gift in November, Sagittarius, you will feel like a totally different person on the other side of it.

Page of Pentacles is the deep thinker, a being that asks the kind of questions that get right to the heart of the matter, doing so with total innocence and curiosity. Why are we here? What’s our purpose? What do we need to learn about ourselves? Receiving Page of Pentacles in a reading is a chance to go on a deep journey of the self, to discover who we *truly* are. You are on this journey as a whole sign, Sagittarius, but you might be getting a little sidelined on your way to ask those questions. There might be a little hesitation, a little resistance, or you might be too busy. Whatever it is, it’s an easy fix. Start with gently slowing down, and the rest of what you need will follow.

CAPRICORN :: CAPRICORN RISING
Queen of Cups

How deeply can you let yourself flow, Capricorn? How subterranean can you allow yourself to be? Queen of Cups is calling, beckoning you to the garden of your heart, to the ocean of your being, to the center of your intuition. Queen of Cups is a double water energy. She is profoundly psychic, profoundly deep, and wholly receptive. She listens with every ounce of her being, living on a kind of island of her own making. This is the month to drop in deeply with your spiritual practices, to tune in with your higher self, to remember the deeper reasons for your incarnation here.

It might also be a beautiful time to go deeper with your guides, and your council, if that is a part of your life practice. When Queen of Cups shows up, she wants us to embody her. How can you step into a kind of life flow like this? If you can slow down enough to let yourself wade in the water, rather than doing Olympic laps around the pool, there will be beautiful messages from the unseen this month. It’s a subtle shift. Gentle, instead of forceful, easy, as opposed to challenging. It might feel funky at first, but you’ll get the hang of it.

There might be deep things to discover in this card, or it might just mean that you are being called to take a break, to shift into a more receptive flow of your life. Whatever the Queen of Cups presents to you, I encourage you to make room in your life for it. The first step is not over scheduling yourself. The second step is leaving a blank space for journeying where your plans and activities might be. Slow down—there is much to gain this month by doing so.

AQUARIUS :: AQUARIUS RISING
Knight of Swords

You are in the energy of Knight of Swords this month, Aquarius. Your mission with this powerful archetype is clear, potent and singular: do, don’t think. Do. Don’t think. So simple, right? If you can make it your mantra, this month will be profoundly fruitful for you. It will open your eyes as to what you are capable of achieving. Anytime we are in a Knight energy, we want to think about the way we move through the world. How are we walking through our life? Knight of Swords is a double air energy. This being is moving like the wind, on a powerful mission! You are being invited to embody this frequency in November, Aquarius.

When Knight of Swords shows up, he’s bringing a kind of magic to our life. That magic is here to show us that we are capable of doing things we never imagined we could do—in a wonderful way. That we are able to move and accomplish things we never imagined we could do, all without becoming exhausted, all without burning out. It’s a massive yes to whatever arises, and then we just do it, instead of bemoaning how hard and intense it’s going to be.

We don’t spend time thinking about it. The more we think, the more we may talk ourselves out of what life wants to drop it to us. Knight of Swords brings only amazing things, so consider being open to new opportunities, new assignments, and new learning experiences. Consider that you are able to go further, and to do more than you believe you can. The more you practice presence, just being with the flow and the pace of your life, the more you will astound yourself. It’s a juicy month, so hop on your horse and fly with it!

PISECS :: PISCES RISING
Five of Wands

November is one of those months, Pisces, with a very important, and very subtle invitation for your highest good: don’t commit to anything until you’re ready. Seems easy enough, but that’s not always the case when we are in a Five energy. Fives are the contraction cards of the Tarot. They represent potent, and often uncomfortable opportunities for our growth. We want to take care to not make decisions from contraction in this life.

When we contract, it is hard to see the big picture. We might be inundated by fear, anger, or desperation. Those energies do have carrying power, but not for long. Usually, after a giant burst of movement in a contraction, we can find ourselves more twisted than ever, with a side of regrets and an empty gas tank. You have this wonderful opportunity to allow November to be a time of deep restructuring, to allow yourself to process and release some big emotions. While you are in this month, loves, your ego may really want to be moving and grooving. The more you move, take action, make decisions from a Five place, the harder it will be down the road.

Five of Wands is like five different pieces of music all playing at full blast at the same time. It can feel very combustive, and is ultimately a powerful creation energy. It can charge us up to the point where we want to run with it, but how can we know which voice is the truth? If you can let the volume come down, and the dust settle, everything will be clear as to your next step. Really commit to a practice of pausing in November. Let this month pass, let it do it’s work on you, and allow the new horizons you are seeking to unfold organically.

ARIES :: ARIES RISING
Ten of Pentacles

It doesn’t get much better than Ten of Pentacles, Aries. Once again, this is your month. You’ve been on a beautiful streak of expansion as of late, and this energy is no exception. November is all about harvesting for you. You’ve planted some absolutely beautiful seeds, and you’ve worked your ass off tending to them, caring for them, nurturing and nourishing them. Now, they are ripe and ready to be shared with the world. When we share our gifts in Ten of Pentacles energy, it’s like giving birth. The whole fabric of the Earth’s frequency is changed and altered by the presence of this new, little being. It is the same idea with the creative fruits that we share in this card. It is truly a generous harvest.

November is the month to bring your baby out into the world. It is a time of creative expression, to share your gifts in a whole new way. It is a time of major abundance, major blessings, and beautiful exchange. Pentacles are about living spiritually in a material world, creating soul centered gifts with our hard work that can serve the whole planet. The Ten is the completion of a cycle, and the presence of good fortune that comes after a period of deep laboring.

Again—November is your month! Your job, Aries, will be to surround yourself with the team you need to make this happen. When we give birth, it is best to have support all around us, caring for us and holding space. What do you need to feel supported in bringing your gifts forward? Make sure you have your “doulas” at the ready. It is a shining, beautiful time for you, Aries—enjoy every single moment.

TAURUS :: TAURUS RISING
Page of Wands

November is really presenting some fresh and lovely energy to you this month, Taurus. Page of Wands is about movement, about the flow of growth and change, taking us from one cycle to the next. It represents a time when we are genuinely ready to walk forward into something new, leaving behind the old cycles of karma from the past. This is so wonderful and important for you, loves. There have many shifts and changes for your sign as of late, but none that have manifested themselves as being totally solid and complete. You’ll take a step, encounter various detours or lessons along the way, then the same thing will happen at the next step. This has been annoying, perhaps, but totally in alignment.

Page of Wands is all about the callibration between our passionate desires and divine timing. It’s a little marriage between surrender, patience, and the flow of our movement, how we are walking through the world. The good news is that the delays have been lifted, and it’s all green lights from here. November is the month where this new path begin to fully gel. Watch as things begin to fall into place where they weren’t before; how housing, money, press, opportunities, and desires begin to manifest themselves for you.

This is change and movement at the root level, and you are ready. In order to step forward with Page of Wands, we have to be completely finished with whatever we are learning in the here and now. It might be something so subtle and small, but if it’s important enough to our growth, this card will delay us until the timing is perfect. Page of Wands learns how to pause, how to take a breath before they leap forward. You’ve paused beautifully, Taurus—now it’s finally time to leap.

GEMINI :: GEMINI RISING
Three of Wands

November is a beautiful month for you, Gemini. You are out of the smoke and rubble of The Tower, finally moving into some expansion! Three of Wands is just about as good as it gets, and it promises to be especially sweet for your sign. This cycle is all about new ideas, new creative ventures, new connections, new expansions. Three of Wands is about the exchange of learning and teaching, gaining knowledge while sharing what we’ve learned with new, eager ears.

It is a time of new horizons, a time when our hunger for adventure might get a little keener, our desire for change might get a little brighter. It doesn’t come from a sad, bored or low place—it’s all beautiful. We love where we are, and we want to add something new in. For you, Gemini, this couldn’t be a better energy for your spirit. What can you say yes to in November and beyond? Where are you ready to expand? What new things can you try? What do you feel excited about, excited to learn and to share? All beautiful reflections for the month ahead.

The fact that you have been in The Tower twice in the last six months is very important. It has been a time of deep clearing for you. Major life changes, major opportunities for recentering. Whatever hasn’t been serving you has become abundantly clear, and for the most part, you’ve rolled with the invitations. Now, you have a clean slate to work with. The skies are parting, and the energy is beginning to shift. The world is really your oyster. What are you ready to call into your life that you weren’t before? Whatever it is, take the first step toward it this month with open arms.

CANCER :: CANCER RISING
Four of Wands

Where can you play more, Cancer? This is the million dollar question, and a particularly important one for the month of November. Have you been “all work” lately? If so, you might be beginning to feel it—even if you aren’t sharing that with anyone. Pay attention to those signs. Whether it’s impatience, lack of attention span, anger and frustration, or even burn out, it’s all information, all points on your compass, leading to play. You’ll have to consider what play looks like for you. Is it time away with your friends? A solo venture? A tricked out vacation, or just a weekend away? Your heart will hold the answer. You job is to take action on what you hear.

Four of Wands is a signal from the Universe to take a joyful break from the grind of our lives. In the Wands suit, we work hard—we have to make sure we play as hard as we work. Rest and play are crucial elements in keeping up with the pace of our passions. Four of Wands can often arise during a very powerful moment in our lives. It has the potential to really change the tone of our life from an energetic perspective, making room for a lot more ease and grace to drop in.

It will also offer you the chance to reflect, to refill your cup. Whether it’s lots of career related work, or even internal work, take some time this month to let your nervous system recenter. If you are working through something emotionally, there has to be breathing room, especially now. Create room for joy and play, loves, even if it makes you uncomfortable to do so. The discomfort will pass, leaving you brighter and fuller than you were before.

LEO :: LEO RISING
Eight of Cups

What is it time to walk away from, Leo? What have you known in your heart of hearts that you are finally ready to see? What hasn’t been serving you as of late—perhaps for a long time? Eight of Cups heralds a deep departure from something we’ve held dear, whether it be a job, a relationship, a pattern, a business, a dream, a collaboration, or something in between. Whatever it is, it is something we put our heart and soul into.

It’s something we worked for, we bled for, we ached for, and now, inexplicably, we are ready to walk away, ready to transition into the next adventure, the next journey. This is your time, sweet Leo. November is the month to take that first step. If you’re in this card, you’ll know where this applies in your life; there are few surprises with Eight of Cups. The deepest work to do around this card is to trust. Trust that you are incapable of making a mistake. Even if you stumble, there will surely be lessons to learn. Trust that whatever is waiting for you on the other side is so much better, brighter, sweeter and more in alignment for the person you are now. We can only taste the fruits of that particular tree if we are willing to boldly step beyond our comfort zone.

Trust that, regardless of what waits for you on the horizon, saying our “no” is worth the price of admission alone. Showing the Universe what we are ready to bow away with our actions and words is often one of the most powerfully transformative actions we can take in this life. Even if it’s scary, trust it. Goodness and new beginnings are awaiting you on the other side.

VIRGO :: VIRGO RISING
Eight of Crystals

Have you had a special idea, project, or goal on your heart as of late, Virgo? If so, November is the month to sink your teeth into the creation of it, fully committing to the birth process. There is something that wants to come through you at this time. It might be a book, an artistic offering, or a project. Whatever it is, it has the potential to change your life—for real. All you need to do is say yes.

You might not have things fully mapped out, you might not feel fully ready, and you might not be sure of what you’re doing, but it’s cool! That’s all totally fine to feel. If you’re willing, you can fully learn that that you can not feel ready and do it anyway. If you are willing to commit to the invitation to drop into whatever it is that you are birthing (and I know you can do that, Virgo!), November will act as a powerful portal to your work and process. It might mean that you are not as available for social activities, or have less bandwidth for other things this month, but that is often what Eight of Crystals, or Pentacles asks of us.

Any eight in the Tarot is a kind of transformation, one that is sparked through our willingness to do things differently, to make a bolder choice. Eight of Pentacles is a focused energy, one that asks that we work hard and create from a place of repetition—showing up again and again, committed and willing. We move from apprentice to master in this energy, gaining experience and wisdom along the way. The potential is huge. You can stall for the elusive perfect time, or you can leap in and create. The choice is yours—choose wisely.

LIBRA :: LIBRA RISING
The Chariot

November is your month, sweet Libra. The Chariot is here, heralding the blessings and opportunities to come for your entire sign. The Chariot is considered to be the only true omen of goodness in the Tarot. It is a strong sign that the tides of life are changing, and that fortune is beginning to move in our favor. The energy of The Chariot is the payoff for tremendously hard work, bringing us into oneness with some kind of destined victory.

You can absolutely expect some amazing expansions in November, internal and external. The work that The Chariot will ask of you this month, Libra, will be to cultivate a stronger sense of inner equilibrium, and to say yes to any opportunity that brings you up and out of your comfort zone. With your commitment to these two concepts, you will create the strongest possible container for all of this Chariot-level goodness to bloom in. Your “yes” around these areas will hold the key to touching in with all that The Chariot has to offer.

The equilibrium is an important ingredient in the recipe for this upcoming expansion. November is the time to take a strong inventory around your inner and outer balance. Where can you ask for more help? What, if anything, needs to be gently adjusted before you’re able to move forward? If we have a flat tire, we will not be able to drive two miles, much less support a long drive. Stepping out of our comfort zone is also key with this energy—it is ruled by Cancer, after all. We have to leave our shells, foregoing protective outer layers, to step into what we desire, what we long to cultivate for ourselves. It is truly your month, loves. Embrace it fully.

LEARN HOW TO READ TAROT WITH LINDSAY MACK

At last! Numinous resident Tarotscopes queen Lindsay Mack has created a digital course on how to read Tarot. Ruby Warrington explains why Lindsay’s Tarot For The Wild Soul is an invaluable tool on your soul journey …Lindsay mack tarot for the wild soul how to read the tarot the numinous

I first met Lindsay Mack about two and a half years ago, when I interviewed her for my book Material Girl, Mystical World. I’d become aware of Lindsay and her work after we ran this interview with her on the site—and there was one quote that had really stood out to me.

“I read Tarot for people’s soul expansion—meaning I read in a way that helps them to wake up to the truth of their being.”

Woah. I was still in the early research stages of my book, and I didn’t know at the time that this sentence was essentially tapping into what would become the BIG message of MGMW, and my work in a wider sense.

I have since come to believe that seeking to unpick the conditioning that keeps us small, fearful and compliant, thus connecting to our individual truths, and then making our life choices from this place, is at the essence of our spiritual work, and our evolution both as individuals and as a collective. And in Lindsay’s hands, the Tarot becomes an amazing tool for exactly this.

After our first meeting (which I wished could go on for DAYS, that’s how good it is to hear Linds speak on her soul subject), I invited her to become a regular contributor to The Numinous. She’s since been writing our monthly Tarotscopes column and recording weekly Tarotscopes videos—which regular readers + viewers will know are not only off-the-hook accurate, but delivered with the utmost love and compassion for our individual journeys.

And so, I could NOT be more excited to share that Lindsay has gone and created a TAROT FOR THE WILD SOUL digital course! YES. Like all the most evolved modern mystics, Linds is dedicated to empowering others to use these ancient tools for themselves, and this 8-week program is a deep-dive into the Tarot as medicine.

LEO :: LEO RISING
Perspective

Happy birthday, sweet Leo! The Hanged Man, or Perspective, is blessing you with its presence this month. It’s gifts to you will be some profound invitations into surrender, patience and transformation, all centered around what you have no control over—anything that you cannot change or rush in your life at this time. You will most likely experience some intense (and awesome) shifts in August, thanks to the eclipses and potent Moon phases. Trust and welcome it all. The Hanged Man is clearing the way for greater alignment with your soul’s highest and best, offering you a sacred perspective shift around divine timing and trust. If you surrender to the medicine of The Hanged Man this month, Leo, it’ll change your life.

The Hanged Man prepares us for Death—literally. It is the card that precedes the Death card in the order of the Major Arcana. Ruled by Neptune, it takes us into a very Piscean world, inviting us to literally ‘hang out’ with whatever arises in our lives, internally or externally. It is yoga off the mat, asking us to hold the pose during difficulty or intensity. For you, Leo, this is an amazing thing. The Hanged Man is an exceptional card because it asks us to say an empowered yes to life—to voluntarily choose to hang out with whatever evolutionary process we are in.

This experience is life changing, because when we say yes to life, we simultaneously say no to victimhood, allowing all that doesn’t serve to die away. Soon, you will taste the fruits of forward momentum, joy and expansion, but for this moment, The Hanged Man is preparing you to receive these things in a more empowered and clear way than ever before. Surrender to whatever arises, cultivate patience, and hold the pose of your life.

VIRGO :: VIRGO RISING
Eight of Crystals

You are in your element this month with Eight of Crystals, or Pentacles, Virgo. The perfect card for your sweet, sturdy sensibility. Your invitation for August is to keep your nose to the proverbial grindstone. Whatever you are working on, creating or learning, throw yourself fully into being a student. Completely release attachment to the future, dropping and forgetting about outcomes and perfection. This is a month to let your hands get dirty. To fall and get back up again, and again, and again.

This is a time to be centered firmly in the present, in your work, opening your arms to humility and the gifts of apprenticeship. Work, practice, repeat. Although you may be tempted to skip this step in your process, it is this commitment to being a sacred student that will propel you into the next level of your mastery. Don’t let it pass you by. Surrender to the inward pull, into this deep place of humble repetition. The more you honor this invitation, the sharper and more refined your skills will become, readying you for a big expansion.

We so often forget to give credit to the power of action when we reflect on our desired intentions. We may wish for big writing or artistic opportunities, greater abundance in our businesses, all of which is perfect. But, we have to ask ourselves — are we making art, or just waiting for the gig to drop in? Are we writing, or waiting for the book deal? Are we practicing our craft, letting ourselves be wildly imperfect in order to learn, to become masters? Eight of Pentacles is your chance to live your intentions and dreams this month, Virgo. Saying yes to this card will change your life. Start with wherever you are, and just keep going.

LIBRA :: LIBRA RISING
Four of Cups

You may very organically feel like you need a break this month, Libra. If so, I encourage you to take it where you can get it. Whether you feel called to cool it on the dating front, in your career, socially or otherwise, trust your gut and take a breather. Check in on where things feel too intense for you, and let them go for a bit. Whatever you release will come back to you tenfold, if you allow yourself the gift of a sacred pause. Let August be as insular, as cozy, and as sweet as you desire it to be. Four of Cups is ready to support and nurture you through this process, so allow yourself to breathe as you need this month, reflecting and readying for the next phase of your life.

Four of Cups is a card that invites us to turn our attention inward in order to process something emotionally. It is often interpreted as a warning around self sabotaging behavior, that we are missing the signs and gifts all around us—it might be how it feels, but that’s not really the truth. The soul knows the value of wise breaks, knows when it’s time to go within. The soul can teach us about the gifts of a pause, and of trust in the timing of things.

The soul knows we can never miss something that’s meant for us. The potential alchemy of this card is strong, sweet Libra. You just have to invite it in, trusting its medicine. August is going to be intense. Beautiful and transformative, but intense. Four of Cups is a chance for you to meet this intensity with ease and grace. The gift it’s bringing? Preparing you to launch forward, clear, refreshed, and inspired. Seize the opportunity.

SCORPIO :: SCORPIO RISING
The Wheel of Fortune

August is going to be an incredibly important cycle for you, Scorpio—I cannot emphasize that enough. Not only are you moving through the magnificent Wheel of Fortune this month, but you’re doing it during a profoundly transformative time, one filled with great potential for new beginnings. The Wheel of Fortune, ruled by Jupiter, is a sign that change and transformation are at hand—our path is about to be shifted. In order to allow the cycle to unfold, your job—and it is a crucial one—is to stay the hell out of the future, no matter how difficult, tempting or torturous it feels.

Wheel of Fortune is a co-creation with Divine, and our part of the work in the co-creative process is to focus solely on the now, offering our attention to anything arising in the present moment. Let the alchemical process happen behind the scenes; you just keep your head focused on what’s in front of you. This will facilitate the most positive and graceful turn on the Wheel, and will allow you to let the medicine of the upcoming Eclipses to move through you. The month of August contains within its days two potent eclipses, several huge lunar transits and a Mercury Retrograde—no small shakes.

These transits are striking all of us on both an individual and collective level, but for you, Scorpio, it will be centered around rewiring some of the ways you’ve been moving through the world. It might be time to upgrade your worthiness, to look at your relationship to money, or perhaps to admit that you’ve fallen in love, or out of love, with some aspect of your life. No matter what, deep changes and powerful upgrades are available to you this month. Make a gentle commitment to simplicity, to presence, and to restoration—everything will unfold from there.

SAGITTARIUS :: SAGITTARIUS RISING
Ace of Swords

This is a powerful month for you, Sagittarius, especially in the realms of inspiration and the cultivation of new ideas. Get ready for some beautiful expansions. Ace of Swords is blessing you with its lightning sharp clarity in August, opening your life to brand new ways of thinking. This card promises to inject a good amount of freshness into your routine, shaking things up in a welcome way. You are getting ready to make some bold changes, Sagittarius. Like the promise of the rising sun, the upcoming shifts are inevitable, exciting, and lie right over the horizon.

Ace of Swords is helping you to prepare for this by stoking the fire of your intellect, and planting the seeds of brilliant ideas, new inspiration, moments of genius and strokes of incredible insight. Whether you know it or not, you are being prepped for a whole new level of personal mastery and greatness. The work for you this month will be to trust in the medicine of the present moment. The work you will be doing in the Eclipses this month is helping to open the doors for this major forward momentum. This is a time of preparation for your next great expansion in life, but you must allow for the time to dream it before you step into it, for the visions and brilliant ideas to come through before you take action.

It’s very important not to put the cart before the horse this month. You might have moments where you feel like you aren’t moving anywhere, or like nothing’s happening. Honor those experiences, and stay the course. Aces are divine gifts, but ones that must be taken and implemented in an empowered way, of our own free will. Trust in the flow of timing, and lean into the aligned power of this amazing card as much as you can.

CAPRICORN :: CAPRICORN RISING
Ten of Swords

It is time to shift your mentality, Capricorn. In some way, no doubt aided by the intensity of the eclipses and lunar transits in August, you will be invited to make changes in how you’ve been relating to your thoughts. This shift in your mental scope will prove to be monumental for your growth, and crucial for your next steps. In some way, whether large or small, your mental perceptions have not been fully serving you. The presence of Ten of Swords is a signal that a change in this area of your life is near, and if honored, will be transformative.

The ingredients to facilitating this shift will be your willingness to surrender control, and your willingness to be vulnerable. Communication around this aspect of your life will be key. Asking for help and support, when needed, will be paramount. Let yourself soften into the support of those around you, allowing the shifts to be as easy and as graceful as possible. Any ten in the Tarot is a fresh start. There are tens that are joyful and momentous, like the Ten of Cups or the Ten of Pentacles—and there are more karmic Tens, like the Swords and Wands, that require us to make changes in order to move forward.

Something is not quite working, and in order to move forward, we must adjust it. This is where you will find yourself this month, sweet Capricorn. Ten of Swords is not a nightmarish symbol of pain and suffering, but a Death-like release from an old pattern that was no longer serving you. The vulnerability is part of the key that unlocks the door to this change. Let yourself be rebirthed, Capricorn. Release all that no longer serves you. Be vulnerable and raw. It is time and you are ready.

AQUARIUS :: AQUARIUS RISING
The High Priestess, Rx

August is an interesting and unique month for you, Aquarius. It might feel a little foggy and confusing in moments, but this is to be expected from the inward intensity of The High Priestess reversed. Your invitation is to float calmly in the fog, to let things be directionless and unclear in moments, without panic or worry. Just be. Often, if we receive this card reversed, it is very important to do nothing for a little while, allowing the mist to clear before we can see the moon again.

The High Priestess is ruled by the Moon. She is as watery, as changeable and as deep as they come. If we receive her in a reading, it is a sign that we already know the answers to our question. This archetype is deeply connected to our intuitive knowing, and requires us to cultivate an enormous amount of stillness and inner quiet to receive this deep answer from within. When we receive her reversed, it’s like there is a cloud cover over the light of the Moon. We just can’t hear or seem to get down to the core of our intuition. Our card pulls might seem totally confusing, our channels might sound like there’s nothing but dead air between us and our Guides. If so, it’s okay.

As stated before, just be for a little while. Laugh, bake bread, see friends, make love, see a movie—get back into life in a present way. Don’t worry so much about the future, or what’s to come. Focus on having so much fun that you forget how deeply you were straining to know or hear something. The more you take the pot off the stove and let it cool down, the clearer things will become. No pressure this month; just live.

PISCES :: PISCES RISING
Two of Swords, Rx

Are you taking care of yourself, sweet Pisces? Are you honoring your sensitivity, treating your head, heart, and body as they deserve to be treated? This month will be a time to review the effectiveness of your personal boundaries, and may include some clear wakeup calls to make adjustments for the good of your nervous system. You may feel called to take some gentle breaks, to keep your distance from certain people in your life, or to be less social as you see fit.

It all depends on how you feel, and what you feel called to implement. It may be important for you to review what’s important to you, and to state your needs, in spite of whether they disappoint others. Those who love and appreciate you will understand. August is a profoundly important month, and in many ways is acting as a mirror for you, Pisces. If something in your life is not working for you or serving you, it is going to be reflected back to you in a very straightforward way so you can make changes.

Two of Swords is an invitation to go within in order to offer ourselves the gift of a mental break. It is a wise pause, a breath in the midst of a strong stress response, a decision to stay home instead of going out and getting wasted. The reversal indicates that we have been blowing past these invitations to pause, perhaps out of resistance, busyness, or fear. Honor what you need, and set down roots this month to live your life in this level of integrity to your soul. You are uniquely tapped in and sensitive, Pisces. Not everyone is going to immediately understand your need for space and reflection, but they will once you begin to communicate about what you need in a clear and empowered way.

ARIES :: ARIES RISING
The Chariot

Blessed be, sweet Aries! You are moving through the powerful flow of The Chariot this month, setting the tone for a profoundly transformative cycle. The Chariot is considered to be the only true omen of greatness in the Tarot—when we receive this card, we can rest assured that beautiful things are on their way to us, borne on the back of our hard work and focus. Receiving The Chariot in a reading indicates that we are ready to shine, that the time is ripe to move forward, to share our voices and our gifts in a whole new way.

It is a wonderful signal that the projects we are working on, nurturing or in process with are about to expand forward with us, blooming into fullness. It is an earned victory, flowing from our courage, persistence and commitment to personal alignment. The last six months to a year have been particularly tough on you, Aries. Your whole sign has really been moving through a complete identity shift, and you may have been feeling (in spite of how resistant you were to it) called more into the cocoon than out in the spotlight. Well, things are about to change in that regard.

Your time in the cocoon is almost at its end, and you are about to emerge as a beautiful butterfly, completely transformed down to a cellular level. It’s all a part of the natural unfolding of things for your sign’s evolution. In fact, the only part of The Chariot that can sometimes be a challenge is that, due to its ruling Cancer, we have to leave our protective shells in order to step forward into the world, renewed and reborn. You are changed, Aries, ready to meet your destiny in some way this month. Rise to meet it; the timing is perfect.

TAURUS :: TAURUS RISING
Page of Wands

What a lovely energy to be moving through this month, Taurus! August is a kind of delicious reset for you, borne from the fresh frequency of the Page of Wands. Expect a flood of new ideas and inspiration this month, and to go about bringing them into earthly form in a totally new way. Page of Wands is an energetic burst forward, tempered by earned wisdom and intuition around divine timing. Dually ruled by earth and fire, this archetype has learned to master his wildness, stoking the flames of his passion in a totally aligned way. What this means for you, Taurus, is a lot of forward momentum without scraped knees.

You’ve gained so much knowledge from your past experiences — you are now empowered to act from that wellspring of wisdom, even while leaping into the next great adventure of your life. Things may seem like they are shifting wildly this month, and you might feel that you are moving too fast. It’s all perfect. Trust the momentum, and the opportunities that present themselves to you. You are ready for every moment of it. August is a crucially important month, energetically speaking. We are moving through some massively potent eclipses, lunar transits and a Mercury Retrograde, all supporting our collective and individual awakening and evolution.

Everything that doesn’t serve us is being stripped away. For you, Taurus, what your sign is really ready to shed is the resistance to expansion, receiving and the manifestation of your gifts and worth. No more playing small. Everything happening to you this month is focused in that idea—making room for you to shine more brightly than you ever have before. You can think of August as a sacred Road Opener, of being blessed by Ganesha. Set yourself free, and leap forward, trusting the paths that open up for you.

GEMINI :: GEMINI RISING
The Tower

You are in the profoundly transformative medicine of The Tower this month, Gemini. Be prepared to be shifted in the grandest and most rooted of ways. Ready yourself for anything that is not serving you to be stripped away for something new to grow in its place. Let’s get something straight right off the bat: The Tower, despite its extreme reputation, does NOT bode disaster, horrors, calamity or pain. The Tower is the most intense stripping of ego identification in the Tarot, so it can often feel like we are dying, being punished, or that something bad is happening to us.

It is, in fact, the most profound liberation of the soul’s truth in the Fool’s Journey—a total reset. This card’s presence is particularly profound this month, due to the unfolding of the eclipses, lunar transits and Mercury Retrograde. Trust whatever it brings and let it come. You’re only losing what you outgrew long ago. Some aspect of your life that you know is out of alignment is coming to a crashing halt this month, sweet Gemini. If you are wildly out of alignment, the halt will be huge. If not, the shift be lighter, but just as powerful. This is what it is to evolve on a soul level.

The brain and nervous system inevitably freak out, because they are committed to keeping us safe and in what we know. It’s only from the perspective of the ego that this card will feel like a death; the soul knows that it is the greatest freedom. Feel all the feelings, and shed whatever wants to be released in this month. It is making room for something new, perhaps at the root level, to grow and be nourished in your life. Trust the crumble; let it burn.

CANCER :: CANCER RISING
The Hierophant

August has the potential to be a deeply transformative month for you, Cancer. The Hierophant is a profound initiation, shaking us loose from the bonds of hero worship, and dropping us squarely into the heart of our own truth, channel, and compass. We become our own wise teacher in this card, shedding doubts and fears that have held us back. We may refine our message in this card, too, if we are teachers and space holders ourselves. Have you been sharing your light with the highest integrity, Cancer? Reflect deeply on that. If not, The Hierophant will guide you home to your center.

The month ahead may feel bumpy in moments, but it will all be worth it for the clarity that awaits you on the other side of this card’s medicine. Expect to go deep within in August; question and review everything. Get clear on the difference between the rhetoric of the brain and the vibratory truth of the soul. Wake ups, a-has, and eureka moments will all be a part of the fabric of this cycle. We are collectively moving through a very powerful initiation in August, aided by the potency of the eclipses, the lunar phases and Mercury Retrograde.

Nothing to fear; it’s all here to help us shed, reflect and step forward in our lives in a renewed and aligned way. Think deep and powerful awakenings. Expect expansions of the heart, clarity of the soul, and—most importantly—the shedding of any doubts and beliefs have kept you from being your own master and guru. You have your own unique gifts to bring into this world, Cancer. If you have not been drawn into this process already, you will be invited to take an inventory of your core beliefs, and whether or not they are serving you. It is a crucial step for your path ahead.

GEMINI :: GEMINI RISING
The Wheel of Fortune

Happy birthday, sweet Gemini! You will be moving through the sacred and mysterious energy of The Wheel of Fortune this month, an amazing frequency to begin a new cycle in. To put it simply, change is afoot. Energetically, a new chapter has begun in your life, one that will unfold and reveal itself to you through the coming year. Wheel of Fortune is essentially offering you a clean slate. Starting this month, you get to decide what you want your life to be. What are you ready to step into, and to walk away from?

There’s never been a better time to zero in on these aspects of your life, to become more deeply aware of your desires. The Wheel does promise powerful transformation, but one we are asked to have a hand in. Be present this month, Gemini. That is the best way you can show up for this powerful change. Emphasize trust, mental clarity, and personal empowerment. Inquire deeply and critically around all aspects of your life—if even one part of it is not serving you, be willing to plant the seed of a new intention for change. Make choices that are aligned with what you desire, not what you believe you have to endure.

All of these actions, internal or external, work to keep the Wheel spinning in our favor. It is possible for an enormous amount to shift for you on a cellular level this year, so kick it off by going within and getting clear. Such a frequency calls to mind the beautiful, and much cited Mary Oliver quote: “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Allow this holy question to be a deep mantra for your soul this month, Gemini—you are co-creating your future with the Universe. Let it be glorious.

CANCER :: CANCER RISING
Four of Swords

Think of the month of June as a gentle time-out for your nervous system, Cancer. Your brain and body really need a break. These last few months have not been easy on any of you, so be willing to rebalance the energy by taking a much needed soul sabbatical. Cool it with social media, if you find that that takes up a lot of your personal bandwidth. Avoid too much overworking, too much output, and too much consuming.

Go within, and give yourself the gift of some sweet solitary time. If you choose to be social, take care to spend your precious energy and time on those who refill your well, rather than drain it of its resources. These acts of self care are an essential part of honoring the medicine of 4 of Swords, which provides us with the organic space to take a mental break. Honoring the invitation of this card yields many gifts, including a reset of the nervous system, the chance to clear away any energies that don’t belong to you, and a fresh start on the other side of the break.

If you’ve been in deep emotions or depression, this time will give you the chance to heal, or to see if you need to reach out for more support going forward. If you’ve been in flux with relationships, friendships, career, or personal work, this will provide you with the chance to get clear on why that might be, and what you can do to shift it. It might not be the sexiest card, but it’s bringing a vitally important invitation your way. Give yourself what you so deeply need, and lavish yourself with the gift of space, time, deep breaths, and love. You’ll be back on the other side in no time.

LEO :: LEO RISING
Three of Swords

First things first: please don’t fear the presence of Three of Swords this month, Leo. Although it is not the bubbliest of cards (aka, not at all), it does hold deep medicine for you this month. I encourage you to welcome it with open arms—and a deep, calming breath for good measure. Three of Swords in your monthly pull does not mean that you will have a month filled with heartbreak. It does not mean that a betrayal is imminent. It doesn’t even necessarily mean that it’ll even be a tough or negatively tinged time for you.

What it does mean is that you are being invited to upgrade and shift the way you identify with and absorb mental drama, blame or guilt, from yourself or from external sources. By saying no thank you to the mental merry go round, you open yourself up a deeper attention placed on healing and processing of pain; a lovingkindness practice for the wounded heart. In other words, Leo, you’re being invited to come home to yourself in moments of suffering, rather than distract, externalize or dissociate from it. Staying with the heart during difficult moments is so important.

Not only does it allow us to deepen intimacy with ourselves, but it clarifies for us where we might need to get some loving advice and to upgrade our sources of support. Prioritizing the heart is not weakness. Prioritizing our hearts allows us to actually process our pain. It helps us to let go, to communicate, to stand up for ourselves, to apologize. Any moment that you are triggered is a moment you are on the mat, Leo. How will you show up and care for yourself? Choose the heart first and foremost, and the next steps will be clear.

VIRGO :: VIRGO RISING
Five of Crystals

June is a month of choice for you, Virgo, presented within the lens of Five of Crystals, or Pentacles. This card, like all fives in the Tarot, can be challenging, but it has to be—it is here to teach us how to stay in our center during difficult times. Five of Pentacles can sometimes be felt as an experience of lack, scarcity or financial squeezing. Sometimes it can arise as general stress. When in this energy, we can feel some big fears and doubt. The choice, Virgo, is how you will respond to these thoughts.

Will you freak out, dropping into begging, desperation and mental doomsday scenarios, or will you choose ease and grace? Will you remember that nothing is permanent? Will you remember to stay in the present moment and out of the future? Will you remember to keep your eyes on your own paper? It’s all up to you this month. If you choose truth, you will not only breeze through the energy of the Five of Pentacles, but you will have gained enormous wisdom, strength, trust, and confidence, even through contraction.

The wisdom we gain in any Five is invaluable, as it is whenever we are willing to sit with discomfort like an old friend. When we choose ease and grace instead of resistance in these moments, we become imbued with an inner trust that is unshakable. This is the gift of contraction, as we are often asked to be reminded of in this life. The choice, Virgo, is whether to honor this, or fight it. As you might guess, fighting makes things tougher. On the other hand, honoring it and using our energy shrewdly in moments of discomfort brings tremendous gifts. It’s up to you—choose wisely.

LIBRA :: LIBRA RISING
Awakening, Rx

June is primed to be an incredibly powerful and potentially transformative month for you, Libra. You may genuinely come out on the other side of this cycle a changed and shifted person, ready to embrace the next great expansion of your life. Judgement, or Awakening, can reroute the course of our very existence. It can melt karma, open our eyes to profound truths, flood us with a-has, and clarify the imperceptible. When we get this card, it means business. It is here to help us to let go of all that doesn’t serve so that we can move forward, free to receive what we desire, moving joyfully into the next phase of our lives.

The question is, Libra, are you ready for that? Are you prepared to truly exorcise what stands in the way of your self acceptance, your birthright, your abundance—even if it’s your own fear and sabotage? You are going to be asked to acknowledge and release some of the oldest layers of self judgement within your being, and to look very compassionately at how these behaviors may be holding you back. You have outgrown these old judgements, so it is time to look critically and honestly at why they might still be arising for you.

If the source of the judgement is an old form of self protection, fear of success or belief you don’t deserve the success you have, be willing to gently but firmly set intentions on upgrading those beliefs in your life. Transformation is absolutely possible this month if you’re willing to dive deep with an open, curious heart. Once you make it to the other side of this invitation, you will have cleared a tremendous space for the new. Goodness, love, abundance and blessings are searching for you, Libra. Make sure you’re leaving the door open to them.

SCORPIO :: SCORPIO RISING
Two of Swords

Take your space unapologetically this month, Scorpio. Honor any and all of your inner needs. None of it is selfish, and none of it is wasteful. It is all necessary for your wellbeing, and to be able to foster deeper intimacy with yourself. Two of Swords is an invitation to be deeply committed to our mental balance, to return to the realm of our inner life in order to be clear about our funkiest thoughts, beliefs, feelings and experiences. This card, despite the perception people have about it, is truly the picture of self care.

It takes work and courage to clearly and lovingly define our boundaries, to take the time to process our emotions instead of closing our hearts or lashing out. For the sake of your self care, and that of your most cherished relationships, be willing to take steps this month around giving yourself what you need in all arenas, with an extra dose of love and attention to your brain chemistry. Remember, sweet Scorpio: balance is not a fixed state. It is constantly in motion, always in flux. You can allow a devotion to balance to be your mindfulness practice this month, checking in with yourself as often as you’re called to, making adjustments as you go.

Anything you need to achieve and maintain this balance, whether it’s working out, emphasizing time at your altar, pulling Tarot cards, cooking yourself nourishing meals, or taking long walks, give it to yourself unconditionally. When you are emotionally triggered or rocked this month, it is doubly important for you to reach for your tools of self care. By taking space and nourishing yourself in those moments, rather than shutting down, you pave a path to deeper intimacy with others, and deeper intimacy with yourself.

SAGITTARIUS :: SAGITTARIUS RISING
Page of Wands

June is going to be a beautiful month for you, Sagittarius. The cycle ahead will be brimming with new beginnings and exciting opportunities for you, all presented within the lens of Page of Wands. Page of Wands is a court card that blends the double elimentation of Earth and Fire to infuse us with a kind of rooted idealism in our lives. The Page of Wands has learned to pause before leaping into a passionate venture, allowing her thoughts to collect, her mind to focus, and her fire to be grounded in a healthier way.

There is no more burnout or exhaustion for this archetype; she has learned to breathe and inquire before she takes on a new task. If it doesn’t align with her body and soul, she says no. In addition, this card also allows us to fully and completely clear the past so we may leap into the future in a mindful way, avoiding the crunch of stacking too many things on top of each other in our creative process. Like all Pages, this card is full of enthusiasm and idealism, but very wise —just like you, Sagittarius.

You are coming home to your roots in Page of Wands, turning over a new energetic leaf as you walk forward into the energy of the month ahead. Put simply, you are rebirthing. It is most definitely time for a new venture, a new project, a new career path, or a big move. You are ready, your soul is hungry, and this month is the start of something big in that arena. You have the capacity to make huge strides toward manifesting this vision in the month of June—just make sure you honor a measured pace, fully closing the proverbial doors behind you as you step forward. If you intentionally blend your fire with earth this month, all of these new visions will unfold beautifully.

CAPRICORN :: CAPRICORN RISING
Oppression

There is a powerful mastery for you in Oppression, or The Devil this month, Capricorn: it is here to help you honor, embrace and even bless your shadow. Yes, indeed—to befriend yourself at a level that, most likely, makes you very uncomfortable. The gift of such an act is that you will truly taste a new level of radically unconditional love within your being, freeing yourself to be more expansive in your life in all ways. Any aspects of your identity that remain perpetually chained to the idea that something is wrong with you must be freed and embraced this month.

Bow to any part of your shadow self that invites you into shame, discomfort or stress. Those feelings are actually where the archetype of The Devil resides—not in the shadow itself. Honoring the shadow doesn’t mean that we eat the whole cake, have the drink, use, reconnect with our horrible ex, or cause harm to ourselves or another in any way. Far from it. Instead, it is an immensely powerful opportunity for you to liberate yourself from self judgement and anxiety when you do move through addictive cycles. Feelings are not facts; there is nothing wrong with a feeling. You can trust yourself, no matter where you are in your journey.

When you have trust, you can let yourself play in the ocean of your shadow without fear of the other shoe dropping. Be the one to break the chain by letting those parts dance, play, and run wild, shining your light onto the shadow, all within the confines of your particular soul path. Forgive yourself, release your judgement and shame, and love the parts of yourself that you condemn. On the other side of this invitation is a level of personal freedom that will change your life, if you’re willing to let it.

AQUARIUS :: AQUARIUS RISING
Ace of Wands

Blessed be, Aquarius! What a beautiful energy to be moving through this month! You are bursting forward in the glorious Ace of Wands this June, leaving behind a trail of all that does not serve your expansion. Any Ace is considered to be a sacred gift from the Universe, one that seemingly comes out of nowhere, showering our life with blessings and clarity for the path ahead. Indeed, Aquarius, it would be fitting for you to consider the month ahead to be a mini Big Bang for your soul’s evolution.

There is going to be some truly spectacular growth, alchemy and inspiration moving through you during this cycle. It is possible, in this energy, for you to feel more guided, directed and clear than you ever have before. Use it to the fullest degree you can, allowing it to pave the way for the next great creative venture of your life. Aces are considered to be the purest form of whatever suit they are in—the presence of them is truly a pure invitation, as they always bring something new and wonderful into our lives.

Ace of Wands is related to the realm of fire, and can arise around the areas of passion, sexuality, creativity, travel, freedom and personal expression. You were in Two of Wands last month, Aquarius, so very clearly you are on your way to some real change, born on the back of desire. Dive deeply into your passion, loves. Set yourself free. You are energetically rebirthing in this card, so fully claim it and flow forward in this energy. Whether you move across the world, get married, come out of the closet, make the greatest art of your life — or all of the above—you can’t lose. It’s time to burst forth into the next great adventure or your life, letting your inner fire guide the way.

PISCES :: PISCES RISING
Six of Crystals

June is going to be an absolutely lovely month for you, Pisces, energetically speaking. Six of Crystals, or Pentacles, is going to be showering you with some truly beautiful blessings, many of which will come in several forms. You will be asked to be open to these blessings, and to prioritize an inner balance of giving and receiving this month. Allow your personal cup to overflow in all ways, opening your arms and heart to any sources of abundance that want to make their way to you.

Any six in the Tarot is always a welcome sight; the dawn after the dark of the 5’s, which are fairly tough and contractive across the board. When we are in a 6, we can trust that we’ve made our way through some form of difficulty and now it’s time to let the light shine, opening ourselves again in an expansive way. As far as how Six of Pentacles is showing up in your month, Pisces, it is inviting you to shift into a deeper mastery of receiving this month, allowing your inner well to become rebalanced by nurturing yourself just as much as you nurture and hold space for others.

Prioritizing this invitation into deeper receptivity will not only be immensely restorative for you, but will allow you to be a more generous giver. It might be time to raise your rates, to take a month off, to get childcare for weekly date nights, or to volunteer at the charity of your choice. No matter what calls to your heart, it’s a win across the board. Just open up and let the love in. You deserve it, you have earned it, and now you are ready to expand in a new way. Life wants to give you gifts; make sure you are available to receive them.

ARIES :: ARIES RISING
Nine of Cups

June promises to be a really sweet month for you, Aries, in a few different ways. Nine of Cups is said to be “the wishing card,” and can herald a time of dreams coming to fruit, or of our wishes manifesting into form. It is a very dreamy card, so even if you don’t hit the big time this month, it’ll be a lovely ride all the same. What is really important for you this month, Aries, is to offer yourself the gift of space and time. Nines in the Tarot represent the end of a cycle, one that we typically spend in some measure of intentional solitude.

Honoring your space this month will give way to some really powerful personal wake ups, especially around the timely subject of wishing, dreams and visions for the future. In addition, taking this space will give you the luxury of being able to deeply appreciate all the current gifts in your life, and how hard you worked to make them happen. This month is certainly a time to count your blessings and honor yourself for a job well done in many aspects.

It’s also a time to deeply consider whether you’d like to shift anything for the future, and what it is, from your soul, that you truly desire to birth in this next cycle of your life. Nine of Cups is not just a card of wishes, it’s a card of wishing. It is a magical energy, one in which much can manifest from our intentions, so let your intentions be clear, Aries. In many ways, you’ve deeply succeeded in your life, and have reached a point of review. Where is it that you’d like to go next? Wherever the next adventure is, let yourself enjoy the fruits of your hard work along the way.

TAURUS :: TAURUS RISING
Starseed

This month is an amazing time to spread your wings and fly, sweet Taurus, straight into the heart of the great adventure of your life. The Fool, or Starseed, is card zero. It is the alpha and the omega, the great unknown, the wild mystery. This card invites us to leap off the edge of our comfort zone, preparing us for a whole new cycle of expansion, experience, and wisdom in our lives. You just need your courage, Taurus; the Universe has got the rest.

The most important thing to honor about The Fool is that it’s a Major Arcana card, all of which are perfect and beautiful invitations for our soul’s highest evolution. In other words, Taurus, the other shoe isn’t going to drop. You aren’t being punked, and, in fact, by moving through the medicine of this card, you are doing the farthest possible thing from being “foolish.” It is easy to label something as being full of folly when it’s scary, a big leap into the unknown. And it’s true—sometimes in life we strike out when we take risks, but never with The Fool.

With this card, it’s a gamble that pays off big time. It is life’s joyful, enthusiastic green light, telling you to go for it. Now is the time. Everything is aligned for your highest good, and for perfect timing. If you’ve been looking for a sign to leap, move, or quit your job, it has arrived in front of you in the form of The Fool. Whatever dreams, wishes and visions you’ve been manifesting are about to come into physical form. Take action from a place of profound courage, knowing that you cannot fail. Dive head and heart first into your deepest knowing; your intuition will not steer you wrong on this one.
